I’ve been leaving and returning home before and after dark for the past couple of weeks so I hadn’t noticed that all my roses have budded, despite my complete and utter neglect of them. The sun was still bright when I got home about 6 tonight and I was finally able to enjoy their early spring beauty. This is a closeup of Rio Samba, complete with rain drops from the storms earlier to day. It is one of my two Ron Smith memorial roses, this one given to me by my stepdaughter Rebecca. It was a rose Ron always wanted me to plant because it was so vibrant and always an early bloomer.
