Day 44—Fuzzy

I was too busy to go out in search of something to photograph today, and I was not inspired by my Flickr group topics which, in the past few days, are bordering on the ridiculous: “Hearts,” “Out on a Date” (I was tempted to photograph some medjool dates but thought better of it), and today’s topic, “Warm and Fuzzy.” They are going a bit overboard with the Valentine theme. I cannot imagine what they might ask us to photograph on Valentine’s Day tomorrow…oh, wait, yes I can. I was glad to see that one of the people posted an icicle under the “warm and fuzzy” topic, saying he “didn’t do” warm and fuzzy. I’m with him.

I did go outside when the rain let up and pruned my roses and my crape myrtles, something I should have done a month ago. As I pruned the myrtle, where the hummingbird feeder hangs, I was buzzed several times by a hummer who was not happy that I was fiddling with his food source. So, after I finished my pruning, I took my camera and sat on the patio in wait for the hummer to return to the feeder. There was another hummingbird war while I sat out there but the birds were too fast for me to capture that drama. However, I did manage to snap a couple of photos during a truce. This is as warm and fuzzy as I could go today.
