Day 46—Daisy Bell

Today, my Flickr group’s challenge is to take a photograph representing a poem or a lyric. On my blog, I often describe and compare my photos to poems or song lyrics so this is nothing new for me. I thought about using Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” because it’s so windy today but I couldn’t figure out how to capture leaves blowing around in a photograph that would make it obvious they were blowing around. I tried to photograph trees blowing in the wind but they looked just like trees when they’re NOT blowing in the wind. Late this afternoon, I picked up a red Gerbera daisy for my stepdaughter who just had surgery, and I thought of “Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do!” which is the chorus to a song called “Daisy Bell” which is actually about bicycles.
