I stepped out my front door mid afternoon and the hummers were cavorting in the oak tree; the sun was warm despite the cool temperatures and the birds all seemed to be in the sunny, south facing front yard. When I stepped back out with my camera, the hummers were gone but this lesser goldfinch was staring down at me. . . that is until I focused my camera on him and he turned his back to me, then flew off. A rear view is all I got.
