One new photograph, almost every day of the year

2015—Lookin’ Out My Back Door, Again

I saw movement in the crape myrtles and the roses so I set up Big Bertha in the doorway and captured a bushtit eating aphids from the roses. In the first shot, she (females have yellow eyes) espies an aphid on the back of a leaf. In the second, she reaches over and plucks it off the leaf.

IMHO, the top one (I know the bottom has gesture, but I love the top one) is one of your best bird images ever!- at least one of MY favorites. The composition, focus, and beautiful soft bokeh are PERFECT! Plus she is just so darn cute! I wish I had those in my yard. . .
