I know it’s going to be a good day when I have shots of my hummingbird before 7AM. I decided to go outside to see if the hummer would come. He did. I considered changing to my 28-300 zoom but knew if I went back inside, the hummer would probably be gone. So, these shots are severely cropped because my 24-70mm lens was attached. I used the on-camera flash again set to -1.3 and ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/250. I increased the exposure 1/2 stop on the first and a full stop on the second so I probably shouldn’t have decreased the flash as much as I did. My next project will be to see if I can expose the hummer and keep the leaves dark. That’s probably a job for my speed light.
I never get tired of your hummingbird shots- I think you excel at them!
