2022—’Tis the Season!

Yes, ‘tis the season for Mountain Mandarins! These small orange orbs of sweet deliciousness taste like candy, have easy, zip off peels, and they’re in season from November through February. Best of all, they’re locally grown just a few miles from where I live. The mandarins found in supermarkets can’t compete with the luscious, delectable Placer County grown Mountain Mandarins. I have finished the first ten pound bag that I got a few days before Thanksgiving and have just opened the second, eating several every day. They satisfy a sweet tooth so it’s easier for me to avoid temptations available during the other season we’re celebrating right now. Yes, ’tis the season!

  1. I agree these little jewels are the best. I like the reflection too. So how are you? We have just been busy, nothing big. Boy the mornings here in Lincoln are sure frosty, 32 again this morning. I haven’t done much with my camera lately. I did send in two images for the Placer Camera Club yesterday. I’m home next week the only day I can’t go out to the Sand cranes is Tuesday. Let me know if you still want to go out there.
OK have a good day and week….. Take care…… Yvonne

  2. I too look forward to the season. I bought two 10# sacks before Thanksgiving & sent one ahead to Chicago where I followed with a visit to my daughter’s. the sack didn’t last for the length of my visit. I had the other one waiting when I got home. I’ll be getting another sack for each of us pretty soon. I think the annual sack of mandarins is my price of admission for my Chicago Thanksgiving visit.
