It was one last hurrah for the sunflowers which were about a week old and after plucking them from their vase and placing them on a flat surface with black velvet in the background, by the time I finished, this trio had a few less petals than when I started. I always love having a bouquet of flowers in my home and sometimes I’m inspired to take a few photographs of them. I’m still appreciating the quality of my new 26mm Nikon lens and with its 8 inch minimum focusing distance, it’s perfect for taking images like this.
