The first time I visited Port Aransas, TX in January 2008, I fell in love with a tiny shore bird called a sanderling. Sanderlings are small sandpipers that congregate in the ebbing waves in search of tidbits to eat. They dash about so quickly it is difficult to keep up with them. I managed to get a couple of decent shots including one with what appears to be a triple reflection (don’t know how that happened) in my favorite sanderling pose, both its feet off the sand.
Cute, cute, cute!
