The first birds we noticed after arriving at the Luna Lodge in Costa Rica, were the Cherrie’s Tanagers. They seemed to be everywhere, the male’s bright red rump feathers were hard to miss. This pair often entertained us by bathing in the bird bath on the edge of the deck.
