Day 74 — The Ides of March

Despite what happened to Julius Caesar on this date, the Ides of March was traditionally (at least “back in the day”) a day of celebration. I’m celebrating that I captured a photograph between raindrops today. I planned to photograph the first freesias (my favorite spring flower) in bloom but discovered that the unopened buds made a much more interesting composition and the water drops (yay! water drops) made them even more interesting.

  1. Love those water drops! And there are plenty out there now…
    Nice colors and composition too!

    1. I think you can “do” macro with the 300mm- it’s just harder (in my humble opinion)… It is beautiful anyway!
